As we’re still a small company (5 people), you’ll get to work closely with the founders. Dock was started by ex-Lattice folks - Alex, Victor and Luc. We're three friends who noticed a way to solve a problem we were encountering through our work at Lattice. We all worked at Lattice when it was under 10 employees (it’s a billion dollar company now with 400+ employees) and we love the early stage grind. More on Dock's culture: - Distributed team - work wherever you want. - Most of our customers are based in North America. You’ll be expected to be available during the time of 8am - 10am PT for meetings, conversations, etc.. Most of our hiring will be focused in the Americas and Europe time zones. - Compensation is based on talent, not location - Asynchronous communication is the default - Linear for issues, Slack for conversations, Figma for design, Email for formal/external messages, Zoom for video, Github for eng. - We meet weekly to check-in, but mainly work independently throughout the week. Each team member is responsible for getting feedback on their projects from the broader group. - Default to no meeting. We want free time for focused work. I think we have 2 internal meetings across the company every week. - Aiming to do company trips, so we can build relationships in-person. Our first trip was to Portugal. - We’re a hygrowth startup. This will not be the easiest job you’ll ever have, but our goal is to make it the most rewarding. We hope you will learn a lot and make some money along the way.
