We are building a medical device to cure fungal nail infections. 10% of the world is infected (about 700 million people), so if you want to work on a big, important medical problem, this is about as big as you'll get. Our technology is a new way of treating the disease, so this is not an incremental improvement of existing treatments...this truly is a game changing methodology in a developing field known as plasma medicine. We are starting with fungal nail infections, but this is a first step towards better treatments for skin infections, wound sterilization, and surface decontamination.
