• Oversees the programming of machined parts at optimal cost.

Determines the most efficient process for making parts and creates CNC programs using CAM Software for the Machine Shop.
Selects raw materials, cutting tools, and miscellaneous shop supplies to be ordered by the Purchasing Department for special parts requirements.
Makes recommendations on and assists with the purchase of required machine shop tooling to improve machining efficiencies.
Stays abreast of new cutting tool technologies and implements required programming changes to reduce machining time.
Reviews and implements cost reduction ideas in relation to machining methods and tools.

• Lead quoting projects:

System costing reports.
Responsible for preparing detailed and accurate project hard metal data using Microsoft Dynamics Navision and the project labor data using Delkor SQL Reports. This information is used to dictate lead-time, profit margins, and customer sell prices.
System layout drawings.
Responsible for preparing detailed and accurate project layout drawings. The layout shows the system dimensions, machine utility requirements, and critical system callout such as utility locations and elevations.
System proposals.
Responsible for preparing a detailed and accurate project proposal. The proposal includes customer information, machine sell prices, project scope details, project lead-time, conditions of sale, terms and conditions.
Present quoted projects and product positioning to the Quote Review Committee on a daily basis.
Maintain expert level of knowledge regarding all Delkor product lines.
Financial responsibility
Develop the financial data for all assigned Delkor projects and how it dictates performance of the project.
Able to thoroughly understand and communicate the financial impacts of any Delkor business decision.
Perform other tasks or duties as assigned.

• Process machine system orders with difficulty rating level 1and 2 on a scale of 4.

Match the appropriate assemblies or component parts to the machine order specifications.
Design custom components and change parts to meet the customer’s needs or specifications.
Create CAD assemblies, part models, detail drawings, and Bill of Materials for machine orders and verifies for accuracy.
Call for design review before releasing of assemblies.
Is self-motivated to adjust schedule to meet design and release deadlines. Report projects that are falling behind schedule to the Engineering Supervisor or Engineering Manager in a timely manner so corrective action can be made.
Report to the Engineering Manager any machine-related performance or safety concerns that are not being addressed.
Escalates machine performance or safety concerns and supports corrective actions under the guidance of Engineering Leadership.
Assist assembly floor and manufacturing when called upon to solve engineering problems.

• Analyze how a machine will function and creates functional specifications.
• Design electrical system for customer machines

• Create and modify new HMI/SCADA concepts:

Develop overall HMI/SCADA screens and functionalities,
Develop and maintain scalable, efficient, and reliable software applications using C# and object-oriented programming principles,
Work with UX development guide to ensure we meet Delkor’s new strategy for HMI/SCADA layout,
Host feedback sessions with internal customers (Test and Service Technicians),
Create documentation to share knowledge.
