Why haven't we seen an improvement in health- and lifespan?
The last 10 years have seen a 50X explosion in the amount of health data and innovation. That promised to revolutionize human health and well-being. However, so far, they've produced no measurable gains in the costs of disease or human lifespan.

The more than 350k health apps are predominantly closed-source and have significant overlap in functionality. That represents a cost of $157,500,000,000 due to duplication of effort.

How the WordPress Approach Exponentially Increases Progress
WordPress is an excellent example of how tens of thousands of independent plugin developers benefit from using and contributing to a shared core open-source platform.
By standing on each other's shoulders through a community-owned shared platform, we can potentially free up these wasted resources to increase the rate of progress by 350,000 times.
