Cratylus Technologies believes in progress through incentivization, not idealism. Logistics is one of the oldest industries in the world, stretching back to a time when treacherous and vast trade routes connected distant cultures. These early pioneers of moving goods and people from place to place were responsible for the development of our civilizations as our world continued to grow around trade. In 2021, the routes are less dangerous and much quicker to traverse but that has not diminished the importance of logistics to the modern world. Over the past twenty years, our society has grown increasingly reliant on the freight logistics industry with the advent of online retail. In 2019, trucks carried over 11.8 billion tons of freight, just in the U.S. alone. The 700 billion dollar freight industry in the U.S. is on the cusp of a massive revolution. For much of the last decade, the freight industry has been at an uneasy equilibrium with the growing demands of an eCommerce economy. 2020 was a watershed year for the industry as we experienced worsening driver shortages due to the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2021 as the economy reopened, capacity remained constricted amidst growing demand from manufacturers, retailers, and consumers. At Cratylus, we endeavor to not only be a part of this revolution but lead it. We will modernize the logistics industry by solving concrete problems and leading the revolution from the inside out.
