As a very early stage business, our company is in unique position as a startup due to the fact that we already have a large, loyal audience with numbers spanning well into the hundreds of thousands. This means that we can launch new podcasts and products to an engaged audience and don't need to rely on finding distribution or spending significant amounts on marketing. Building a great product is challenging, but not nearly as challenging as building a great product, finding distribution, and sufficient funding as most startups typically face. The problem we are solving is creating the world's best place to learn about business and investing. Whether someone wants to learn about flywheels or Ford, we want to be the destination they start that learning experience. We need to have both the content and the tools to enable that learning. It's a massive build that will be an incredible tool for our audience. We have a culture focused on autonomy, excellence, and constantly leveling ourselves up. We are all adults, and so we treat each other like adults. There is no hand holding or micro-managing. As a team, we lay out expectations for our business, and work together to exceed those expectations. We currently have 4 employees and the opportunity to build this business the way we want without any bureaucracy. What makes Colossus great is its team of insatiably curious people who push each other hard but also make each other better.
