Culture and benefits at CollegePlannerPro
Culture overview
The CollegePlannerPro team is small but mighty! We are a small group of passionate individuals working within an agile/scrum framework to reliably deliver on projects. Monday's team-wide standups kick off each week. Our team is fully remote (but largely based in the US, where the majority of our clients also live) - as a result, we embrace things like Slack, written documentation, and asynchronous updates. We have ambitious plans for the future of our product and are prepared to work hard, while having some fun along the way. The main tenets of CollegePlannerPro culture include: - Respect for colleagues and clients - Be the CEO of your job - Pride, not ego - Communication and reliability - Healthy work-life balance Our technical team utilizes a framework of tools and touchpoints (ex: Jira epics/stories, Confluence documentation, sprint wrap-ups and retros, weekly check-ins), and within that structure, engineers are given a tremendous amount of autonomy to guide the technical direction. Trust and openess are some of our highest-held values, and each team member is responsible for holding themselves to a high standard for the reliability, maintainability, and usability of the code they write. Our culture is both very organized and very freedom-giving to developers. Engineers are encouraged to be product-minded, highly pragmatic, and technically strategic, designing the best solution for today, while planning ahead for future growth.
