Culture and benefits at Cloudsmith

We're a bunch of startup-y people that operate fully remotely, who are energized and passionate about working in an incredible developer-centric ecosystem within the dev tools and security space. We try to balance our work between planning our path forward in strategic (years, broken down into quarters) and tactical (quarters, broken down into weeks). Our main work loop is in sprints/cycles. Based on thematic streams of work, we self-organise into smaller teams during sprints/cycles, with mostly async working, using tools such as GitHub and Linear, but hold sync ups at start/end of sprints. At the end of sprints, we do a review of the work and celebrate it with demos. Once recognising the hard work of the team, we move on to retrospectives and then plan our next set of tactical work. A few times per year, we try to bring all of the team together in the same place for planning/food/fun. Though fully remote, we believe in seeing each other sometimes to reinforce the Human connection. Other than that, we play games/events online, offer space for the team to chat, organise hackathons, and otherwise let people have an "innovation day" after each sprint (we run them in 9 working days).
