Chirp is a way to share information between devices and applications using sound.  Information such as a link, a payment ID, a voucher or your business card.
 
We use sound to move data because sound technology is everywhere. There are more cheap loudspeakers on Earth than there are people, by some margin: in radios, TVs, laptops, phones.

Chirp is designed for quick and easy sharing between people in the same place. Unlike Bluetooth, Chirp doesn't require you to pair devices. Unlike email, you don't need to type in anyone's address. Unlike NFC, you don't need a high-end phone. To exchange information, you don't need to be connected on a social network.
 
Chirp is now available to connect billions of previously unconnected devices. Our developer tools allow anyone to integrate the Chirp technology into their app and soon we will be able to Chirp within your browser so no app download is required.  

Our vision is simple - we want to teach devices to sing.
