Cheeseburger Therapy is an anonymous, text-based chat service where customers, or thinkers, visit the site to live chat with a trained helper about a challenging life experience. We're democratizing access to mental health services by making it quick, affordable and easy to seek help when needed most.

Humans naturally want to help each other, but modern society traps "mental health" behind expensive medical bureaucracies. Cheeseburger teaches ordinary people the skills of therapy, and provides structured oversight to make it safe for them to help other humans through the internet—and get paid doing so.

We invented Cheeseburger through PhD research, by redesigning Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for the internet. Humans provide what only humans are capable of: empathy.

We make therapy available to any human with trouble, immediately when they need it, for only $25/hour. Therapy becomes cheap, accessible, and satisfying, like a Cheeseburger.
