SplitTrips.com is a web and mobile application that provides an online marketplace for Charter Fishing and Hunting Lodge providers to sell their unfilled charter slots and State issued game tags online, last minute.
Charter Fishing Boats are typically granted a "6 Pack" License from the Coast Guard. This means that they are allowed to take up to 6 customers on a fishing trip, so pricing is meant for 6 customers.
Many times people will be on vacation at a beach destination where some of the family might want to go shopping and a couple will want to go fishing - last minute. Another problem is that boats don't often have WiFi or laptops to manage their listing and scheduling, they do have smartphones. WIth that in mind, we're creating a smartphone app to cater to the captains needs.
Hunting lodges often have unfilled tags that need to be sold or they go to waste. There is presently no marketplace for them to place them for sale at discounted prices. We aim to fill that void as well.
