Centiment brings together two markets that are in desperate need of innovation, school fundraising and consumer market research. Market researchers do not have strong confidence in the respondent pool of existing providers of online consumer market research. For example, Survata and Google Consumer Surveys entice a fragmented pool of people to answer surveys as a gating feature to premium content (an online news article, etc). These respondants are not motivated to provide quality responses. Their objective is to obtain premium content, not to thoughtfully answer a survey. This forced action to respond to a survey causes respondents to rush through surveys often clicking through without reading the questions. From a school's perspective, existing fundraising campaigns require a great deal of work from a small portion of their parent base. Many fundraisers also do note provide a social experience. Tasks such as collecting Box Tops for Education are done in isolation.
