Nonprofit addressing complicated challenges like climate, health, and society
The Center of Complex Interventions, Inc. (CCI) is a nonprofit organization that implements multidisciplinary research that addresses pressing, broad-ranging problems such as COVID-19 testing and climate change. CCI supports a number of projects as in-house research and through partnerships with other organizations. While the projects differ in their outputs - some projects are more academic in nature while others have a for-profit/investment aspect - all have a strong social impact component.

In addition to research, CCI’s other main focus and activity is growing its community. CCI’s community currently includes 40-50 researchers and entrepreneurs from academia, for profits, and nonprofits. The group meets weekly to share research findings and discuss topics of interest. By developing its community, CCI is working to create strong public, private, and scholarly ecosystems with funders, startups, and other institutions that share CCI’s mission to understand complex problems and identify the most impactful interventions in different ecosystems.
