Carmah’s vision is to become the platform that underpins ubiquitous ridesharing in daily commuting. Carmah has introduced a platform for true ridesharing to organize and bring efficiency to daily commuting. Carmah is not Uber: Uber is a taxi; they put cars on the road. Carmah connects people who are going the same way; we take cars off the road. People still commute the same way they did 50 years ago: they travel on their own, ignoring the ever-present flow of people traveling the same route. This will change. Technology has transformed one industry after another (notably, the hotel and taxi industries) through efficiency, communication and organization. These tools have not yet been applied to daily commuting--a $700B market that is ripe with inefficiency. Smart Commuting, where people will share rides with others who are traveling in the same direction is inevitable.
