Caplight is the first market for trading derivatives on private company equity. We enable institutional investors (hedge funds, VCs, & other asset managers) to trade in the private markets the same way they do in the public market. Through Caplight, our clients can hedge or generate income, take short positions, or place levered bets on private companies.

The founding team at Caplight includes some of the earliest members of Forge, which is now a multi-billion dollar marketplace for buying and selling shares of private company stock. We bring the expertise and network necessary to execute on our big vision! Caplight's early investors include prominent fintech-focused names like FinVC, Susquehanna, and Clocktower Ventures.

Our product is a web platform for institutional clients to buy and sell derivatives of shares of pre-IPO companies. We allow our clients to view & participate in available transactions, submit options & swaps orders, run multi-million dollar auctions, and analyze the private market on our platform.

We're currently in a Beta private launch and have many more exciting features to build!
