CannaSystems was founded and is led by Bruce Ryan, CEO. Bruce has been involved in all aspects of the cannabis industry for over 30 years, and was one of the co-founders of the Canadian Hemp Trade Alliance in 2003. Ron Larson is our CFO. He has over 30 years of experience with PriceWaterhouse, ManuLife and XPrize/ NASA launch-crew team.

Last year in North America over $300 million in hemp stalk was wasted because of an inability to process the material into its components – fibre and core hurd. We know this because we have talked to over 300 North American farmers, all looking for a solution. When fully implemented, unmet demand is opened in several downstream industrial markets.

There are 1,200 existing hemp farms in Canada and over 17,000 hemp permits were issued in the US last year. Prospective industrial markets for fibre and core materials cover a wide range of sectors.

We have designed, developed, and built the R-2 Hemp Stalk Processing System: a self-contained, semi-portable, modular high-performance farm machine.

Through bootstrapping and word of mouth, we have built a full-scale demonstration unit, over 340 direct sales enquiries, 1,700 newsletter subscribers from all over the world, 9,900 LinkedIn followers and tens of thousands of website visitors.
