More context below: We started out as India's first coding bootcamp for K-12 students and schools in 2010, teaching topics like Android App Development, Game Programming, Full-Stack Web Development, AI, and Mixed Reality to 50,000+ students nationwide in partnership with 100s of schools and orgs like Adobe, Google, IIM Bangalore, NITI Aayog (govt India). In 2018, we set out to build an online version of Camp K12 that could deliver the quality and interactivity of our offline programs at online scale, across the globe. Our key insight -- Static / pre-recorded videos don't work for kids, because attention spans are short. Our approach uses LIVE streaming, social / p2p interactions, and gamification (inspired by Fortnite / Roblox) as a foundation, and connects kids to amazing teachers in highly effective online sessions, all from the comfort / security of home.
