Emotional Support Counselor Volunteer. Become a Volunteer Listener at BuddyHelp. BuddyHelp is the free mental health resource, that provides a safe space for people that just need someone to talk to. It is volunteer-led and remote-first. Our volunteer listeners work from anywhere, via their smartphones. Emotional Support Listeners bring people who are going through moments of struggle to a grounded sense of calm and direction, through active listening, collaborative problem solving, and compassionate empathy.
