Jobs at Bot Watt

Bot Watt is an online Data as a Service (DaaS) startup in the clean energy industry. Our mission is to be the go-to source for clean energy project data across the United States in the coming decade. The key areas where Bot Watt differentiates itself from the competition are data collection (method and type), price/business model, and integration of user-generated content. Our data collection method involves scraping data from other online sources, as well as public records requests. Our goal is to collect data and information for all types of renewable energy projects (wind, solar, geothermal) as well as all sizes of projects (residential solar, distributed generation, and utility-scale generation). Smaller project data is something notably absent from the marketplace currently, but can still provide a huge amount of value to users since it is a large part of the market. In addition to paid plans, Bot Watt also incorporates free accounts in order to leverage the most user-generated content possible. Companies who form accounts with Bot Watt can add projects they’ve recently completed, tag themselves in projects where they’ve provided services, and keep their page updated with relevant information about their company. Bot Watt is both a place where anyone can go to get a basic understanding of projects and companies and a place where more in-depth users can get detailed project information and analysis.
