BionIT Labs careers
BionIT Labs is an innovative Italian startup which develops Adam’s Hand, the world’s first fully-adaptive bionic hand: a prosthesis based on a patented mechanism which uses only one motor to move all the fingers, making them automatically adapt to the grasped objects’ shape and size.
This makes the device extremely simple to use, since the user doesn’t need to select the most suitable grip pattern for each grasped object, as it happens with all the currently available bionic devices, which use 5-6 motors.
Using a single motor allows also to obtain a lighter, more compact, less loud device with greater autonomy, at a cost of up to 1/4 of our high-end competitors’ devices.
The prosthesis also features a calibration interface based on machine learning algorithms, which allows the orthopaedic technician to adapt the device functioning to each user’s muscular tone in just 15 seconds.
The company is currently composed by 18 highly committed and competent professionals.
