Everyone knows about BestBuy, but most don't know about our business momentum & our startup Mobile/Cloud product team in Seattle. BestBuy.com has made eComm a significant priority, making up 4B of our 40.3B in annual revenue. 18 months ago, we planted a beautiful office space atop the Seattle Times building in S. Lake Union. This dynamic group of about 30-40 people, and growing, is focused on cloud engineering, mobile development and the omnichannel customer experience all at scale. They are ultimately responsible for impacting how millions of our customers shop on their devices. Major releases every 2 weeks & minor releases every week. Some highlights include a redesigned Geek Squad app, and a new feature on its main app called “Blue Assist” that gives customers a way to get on-demand expert help from their smartphone — whether they are shopping at one of Best Buy’s 1,400 physical locations or anywhere else.
