Every year, new and continuing SMB financing accounts for $600B, all of this is backed by outdated processes that rely on PDFs and human eyes. Basis is making order from that disorder. We are organizing financial information about small- and mid-sized businesses, to make the financing process orderly and scalable. Our current challenges include: - how to derive and represent probabilistic statements about the current and future state of a business - implementing bidirectional communication between asynchronous jobs and user-facing interfaces - efficiently scheduling periodic processes, and representing the exit conditions of those jobs in a meaningful way
