Axiflux is developing a high efficiency Adaptive Magnetic Flux Array (AMFA) electric motor/generator architecture that will have a range of applications in the automotive, industrial and power generation industries. The Axiflux Adaptive Magnetic Flux Array (AMFA) motor architecture is based on the principle of distributed control of an array of parallel electric machines controlled by similarly parallel array of controllers and power electronics arranged in a housing similar to a standard electric machine. The end result is a compact, powerful electric machine that is fully controllable from 0 rpm to full speed and from 0 to 100% of its rated torque.
