Leveraging dual patents, AuthLN is redefining multi-factor authentication (MFA) through developing a solution—called Proof of Financial Authentication (PFA)—that shifts the risk of breaches from targets to attackers by introducing financial deterrence.

Our approach leverages Bitcoin’s Proof-of-Work network and the Lightning Network’s scalability. Users authenticate by fulfilling a small invoice amount: authorized users draw from a company-managed pool, while unauthorized attempts require attackers to pay out of pocket. This creates a real cost for breaches, flipping the risk equation.
