We have developed a solution to help women to recover back child
support. There is $118 billion that’s unpaid, 14 million unique cases, and more than 7 million women who are owed.
Collecting child support can be hard. Child support evaders move, they work as 1099 contractors, in cash-based businesses, and more, to avoid paying. Millions of women have given up, leaving cash on the table. Our solution locates the person obligated to pay, finds their income and assets, and generates the legal documents necessary for mom to place liens on assets, and collect.
Like many mission-driven organizations, the story behind Don’t Get Mad Get Paid is personal. More than 25 years ago, founder Simone Spence found herself with a child support collection problem of her own. Determined to do right by her daughter, she dug deep into the system to learn its complexities and ultimately collect her arrears. Instantly she knew she wanted to help other mothers do the same. She has taken her years of experience and packaged it into a tech platform.
