Astrohaus builds distraction-free writing tools in hardware and software for modern authors under the Freewrite brand.

The company was founded by Adam Leeb and Patrick Paul around the success of the Freewrite smart typewriter (previously, Hemingwrite), that was launched in 2014 on Kickstarter with a shoestring budget and raised $200k in the first 20 hours of the campaign. Since beginning shipping worldwide in 2016, writers in 50 countries have cumulatively written over 250 million words on their Freewrites.
