Jobs at Astro Digital

• Design and develop spacecraft electrical harnesses from requirements capture through fabrication, integration, and acceptance testing
• Produce and own harness design documentation including wire lists, schematics, connectors, drawings, and routing diagrams using tools

• Design, create schematic, create layout and test RF boards - full ownership of a RF board from start to finish
• Design and develop RF receive and transmit chains, including LNAs, filters, mixers, PAs, and frequency conversion stages.

• BS in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or closely related field
• 7-20 years of experience as a stress analyst/structural engineer in the aerospace field

• Building both spacecraft system level and unit level models as required using Thermal Desktop
• Working with other disciplines to gather requirements and inputs necessary to complete spacecraft thermal analysis

• Design, develop, test, and deploy flight software for spacecraft and hosted payloads including for command and telemetry processing, power control, thermal management, communications, fault management, onboard autonomy, mission sequencing, and payload operations
• Implement software using modern C++ for real-time, multi-threaded Linux applications

• Develop and maintain embedded software for spacecraft subsystems, including sensors, actuators, power systems, and communication interfaces
• Write and debug low-level drivers and board support code

• Load and configure flight software builds on engineering units, flight hardware, and integration testbeds
• Configure and verify software parameters on flight hardware to support system bring-up, testing, and mission readiness

• Write system test plans
• Perform and automate tests and test data analysis for spacecraft

• Provider Integration: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for external ground station providers (e.g., Leaf Space, RBC Signals, KSAT Lite, AWS Ground Station), managing API integrations, software configurations, and operational nuances.
• Network Architecture: Design, implement, and maintain secure network topologies (VPNs, IPsec t...

About Astro Digital

Astro Digital designs, builds, and operates a diverse range of small satellite systems supporting space-based turnkey missions for several business applications, including earth observation, communications, in-orbit demonstrations, risk reduction, science, and exploration. As...

• Contribute to electrical engineering across design, debug, and system integration.
• Get hands-on in the lab - building, wiring, and testing hardware, and taking measurements with oscilloscopes, multimeters, and analyzers.

• Develop and maintain:
• Performance budgets for vehicle systems

• Coordinating, compiling, reviewing, and submitting launch vehicle-required deliverables under the direction of the senior launch integration engineer. This requires internal coordination with program managers and mechanical design and structural leads, including monitoring deadlines, checking technical information, etc. Good foundational knowledge of aerospace systems is required.
