AspectAvy was created with the mission of saving lives. AspectAvy creates tools that help people manage risk by using data and probabilistic models to identify where the risk is and how to avoid it. Our app is seen as being a transformative tool by the guiding community, SAR and avalanche education experts. Our founders are experts in their respective fields: Jeff Banks is an IFMGA & AMGA mountain guide for the past 20 years. He's not only a guide but a trainer for those organizations. He's also taught the US Special Forces Mountain division and executive teams on how to manage risk in high-risk situations. In addition to guiding and instructing, Jeff's work as a guide, instructor and avalanche forecaster has made him one of the foremost experts in his field. JB Leach is an awarding winning designer and product leader. He spent nearly 20 years working in strategic branding specializing in new product launches. After helping companies like Proctor & Gamble, Pepsi Co and MillerCoors launch a number of successful products he turned his focus to technology consulting. For the past 10 years he's been designing and leading teams in the creation of consumer SaaS products and enterprise software. We have a deep passion for what we're building. Through hundreds of interviews we've identified and addressed backcountry travelers main paints and primary needs.
