Jobs at Artificial Intelligence Lab Brussels

The Artificial Intelligence Laboratory Brussels, founded in 1983 by Prof. Dr. Luc Steels, is the first AI lab on the European mainland. It is part and is part of the Computer Science Department of the Vrije Universiteit Brussel. Over the years, more than hundred researchers have worked at the laboratory, resulting in 5 spin-offs, more than 50 PhDs and over 850 publications. Currently the team consists of 50 researchers from over 15 countries. The main domains of expertise are Reinforcement Learning, Evolution of Language & Speech, Game theory and Personalization stacks. The AI lab has a long tradition in multi-agent and cognitive systems. From the beginning, there has been a strong interplay between research & industry, resulting in fruitful collaborations in many sectors, including but not limited to robotics, smart grids, health, Industry 4.0, computational biology, education and arts.
