Peer-reviewed studies show that the most effective way to grow happiness and ward off depression is deepening meaningful relationships. Our mission is to deepen relationships by making it easy to spend more time in person with good friends. Even as an early-stage startup, user interviews have convinced us that a high percentage of smartphone users find the product compelling and there are currently no alternatives which protect privacy. Arrive is valuable to each of the 2.7 Billion humans who use a smartphone. And we’ve validated the growth model with two key channels who bring a critical mass of users. My co-founder was previously a software engineering lead at Apple; I've co-founded two startups before (2nd one acquired), then took a few years out to study applied science at MIT. Contributors include the inventor of breakthrough technologies in internet bandwidth, mobile, and blockchain who now teaches at MIT. We’re committed to building a startup with a culture that loves learning, technical problem solving, and is located within walking distance of MIT.
