Based in Taiwan, founded in 2009, AppWorks is a leading startup community and venture capital firm built by founders, for founders. AppWorks Accelerator, the renowned 6-month free accelerator program, admits 30 - 40 AI, Blockchain, and Southeast Asia startups per batch from across the region and boasts 472 active startups and 1,522 founders in its alumni network. Collectively, all companies in the ecosystem generate annual revenue totaling US$15.2 billion (+9% YoY), and have created 23,390 jobs (+16% YoY). Altogether, the ecosystem raised a total of US$5.4 billion (+14% YoY), with an aggregate valuation reaching US$31.5 billion (+13% YoY). As a VC, AppWorks manages four venture capital funds totaling US$ 350 million, typically investing in seed to Series C companies. We fund 20-30 deals a year, now with more than 100 names in our portfolio, including leading startups in several verticals such as Lalamove, Dapper Labs / Flow, Animoca Brands, 91APP, Figment, Carousell, ShopBack, Tiki, 17LIVE, and KKday, while having produced 5 IPOs, 4 IEOs, 1 hectocorn, 2 decacorns, and 5 unicorns.
