Appio was constructed to cater to the traditional brick and mortar / service based small business community - your spas, salons, medical, body shops, cleaning services, etc. It allows small businesses to harness the power of native mobile technology. Small businesses have one goal, and that is to make it out of the small business category and be considered equal among the medium to large players, however with financial restrictions they are always one step behind. In this age, all of the big companies with the financial resources are building mobile apps and really capitalizing on the mobile trend (spending about $250k - $500k to do so) while the small business are revamping their 2000-era websites into new websites and blogs with added functionality (spending about $2.5k - $5k). The cost difference of 100x turns these small businesses away from having their very own mobile application and the momentum gets lost in the “revisit next year” pile. Appio was built to change that.
