Survivors.io is a platform by and for survivors of sexual assault to support each other in challenging rape culture.

It is a student project of AnnieCannons. AnnieCannons breaks the cycle of victimization for talented and overlooked survivors of human trafficking. We train survivors of human trafficking in coding and other computer-based skills, help them earn income from those skills, and build software to target the root causes of trafficking alongside them. Survivors.io is the concept of our pilot class and the product of the development work of one talented human trafficking survivor who worked with her teachers and AnnieCannons volunteers to develop a prototype.

Survivors.io fights rape culture by building community, improving data and understanding of sexual assault realities, and aligning survivors of all varieties of sexual assault all over the world toward political action to end rape culture. We hope to accelerate this technology with Fast Forward’s help.
