CareerVillage.org careers

CareerVillage.org is an EdTech non-profit organization that crowdsources college and career advice for young people. We do that by recruiting professionals in all kinds of industries and fields to give advice online using our Q&A mentoring platform. By making it easy for volunteers to give advice from their computer or mobile phone, we're making mentorship scalable. CareerVillage focuses on low-income communities, where the need is greatest, and is already in use at schools and after-school programs like KIPP, Achievement First, YearUp and others. We've learned that in low-income communities, students have little-to-no access to advice from working professionals. As a result, students don’t know what to do with their future, feel like school has nothing to do with real life, and finish their education unprepared to get a job. The personalized advice they get from CareerVillage makes them better prepared and more confident for college and career.
