ANANDA (Advanced Nano Design Applications) is a medical devices start-up company devoted to improving biomedical research and diagnostics through the development of products and technologies that make drug discovery faster and more cost-effective. ANANDA started as an interdisciplinary collaboration at McGill and is now building a multidisciplinary team to bring nanotechnology to life sciences. ANANDA has had a lot of traction since it launched in 2013 as a McGill based service for one device. In 2014, ANANDA was selling 10 different products for 5 different applications in four different countries (Canada, Brazil, Germany and US). In that same year, ANANDA was a winner of the McGill Dobson Cup start-up competition and elaborated a solid business plan. Now, in 2015, ANANDA has a negotiated IP, was accepted into McGill's startup accelerator program and has engaged key collaborators and advisors. Currently, the company is in the process of closing a deal for seed A investment from angel investors. Need we say more?
