Altplus is a digital platform offering resources, a community and an investment marketplace for alternative investments. The marketplace will connect investors with top providers of alternative investment opportunities (e.g., Moonfare, Republic, Fundrise, Masterworks, Cult Wine) and top Asset Managers (e.g., Bain Capital, KKR) via an investment API, effectively forming an aggregation layer on top of these providers. This is unique as there is currently no platform available where investors can build a portfolio of high-quality alternative investments in one place. The marketplace will also include a secondary market, where investors can trade their investments, removing the problem of illiquidity that alternative assets usually face.

What Coinbase is for Crypto and Robinhood is for Equities, altplus will be for Alternatives. A central access point will allow for a greater adoption of the asset class amongst private investors, by removing fragmentation (i.e., too many platforms), frictions in customer journeys (i.e., multiple sign-ups and apps) and risk to investors (through vetting of providers). altplus will cover the client onboarding, KYC/AML, regulatory & compliance and portfolio management. This removes operational complexity for providers while boosting their investor numbers.

High-quality resources and community features will allow altplus to build authority in the market and attract qualified users as more and more people are interested in alternatives but are lacking an independent source of information. Educational content and independent reviews of providers and investment opportunities will help non-investment professionals to build a portfolio of alternative investments with confidence.
