About Us: In 2015, as AkitaBox’s four founders worked in a large Midwest construction organization, they consistently heard from customers and operations leaders that a disconnect in technology occurred as facilities that were built utilizing the latest in 3D CAD construction were then handed over with a mountain of paper blueprints and manuals. With the founders’ strength in collecting data, they realized it was possible to take the level of technology and sophistication they used in construction and apply it to operate facilities more efficiently by presenting locational data in a way that makes it easy to utilize. This vision continues today with the evolution of the AkitaBox platform and associated applications to better enable the telling of a building’s history, current condition and projected future.

In turn, this allows superior, data-driven decision making, from the boiler-room to boardroom. AkitaBox was founded in Madison, WI and has raised its capital entirely from the middle of the country. We were recently included in the Inc. Magazine 5000 list as No. 578, and ranked 9th in the State of WI. When customers think of their facilities, they think about them holistically.
