Capital markets is responsible for sourcing investment capital to support CommonBond’s origination activity. The team manages external investor relationships and structures and executes transactions across loan sales, securitization, warehouse and other structured financing vehicles.
As the newest member of our Capital Markets team you will play an integral role in growing CommonBond’s capital base.
Responsibilities include:
* Execution of deals through credit analysis, modeling, structuring & negotiation and analytics. Will work across the spectrum of funding initiatives including loan sale, securitization and warehouse financing
* Sourcing – develop new investor relationships across products and asset classes
* Preparing investor materials to position CommonBond’s products (presentation, credit analysis, deal comparables, etc)
* Internal infrastructure development – work with team members to enhance our in-house analytical capabilities
* Cross-group collaborative work regarding product-side and funding-side initiatives (loan pricing strategy, investor reporting, etc)
* New product development – collaborate with various internal teams to develop and finance products that fit the needs of both our borrowers and investors
Desired Qualifications
* 2-5 years of experience with debt capital markets (preferably at a financial institution, ABS issuer, rating agency, or ABS accounting/consulting firm)
* Outstanding communication skills: ability to articulate investment merits to potential capital partners, manage investor diligence process, participate in sourcing new investors
* Strong analytical, quantitative and modeling skills
* Ability to problem solve and work well in a fast-paced environment
* Self-starter, organized, ability to complete projects independently
* Technical skills: MS Excel modeling, Bloomberg, Intex (desktop or dealmaker)
