We are currently looking for a Technical Sales Engineer. This role requires both proven experience working with the latest web or mobile technologies and outstanding personal communication skills. You should be results-oriented, detail-oriented, self-motivated, energetic, professional, reliable, a team player, customer-focused, and enjoy working with many different personalities.
*This role is an on-site full-time position
Key Responsibilities:
● Assist the sales and engineering team in understanding client needs and propose technical solutions or alternatives when applicable.
● Quarterback the sales process from due diligence to project estimation and closings, with close coordination with internal team members.
● Develop sales presentations and project proposal decks to help win critical sales accounts.
● Educate clients about our services and engagement models related to user experience design, software development, and project management.
● Work with clients to clarify requirements, and convey client requirements to design and engineering teams.
● Review and perform due diligence on project assumptions and estimation from internal development and design teams.
● Draft master service agreements and statement of work for new clients and engagements.
● Build and maintain client relationships including meeting periodically with clients or prospective clients.
We are looking for:
● A software engineer or developer who is interested in a sales and client-facing role.
● Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and is comfortable translating complex technical speak to simple English that can be understood by non-technical clients, or translate client requirements into technical specs understood by developers.
● Possesses strong organizational and time-management skills.
● Someone who takes ownership of the sales process all the way to closing.
● Willing to travel.
Desired skills:
● A few years of software development experience.
● Proficient with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint), Agile project management tools, Evernote, and Keynote.
● Prior experience working with a software development agency or consulting firm.
● Sales training/experience is a plus.
