Site Reliability Engineer (SRE)
Location: Jersey City, NJ / NYC
Duration: Long-term Contract
We are looking for an experienced Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support mission-critical Equity Trading Platforms and front-office trading applications.
Must-Have Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with Fidessa, FIX Protocol (4.2/4.4/5.0) and Equity Trading Systems.
- Experience with OMS/EMS, FIX connectivity, order routing, DMA, and drop-copy flows.
- Strong understanding of Capital Markets and the Equity Trading Lifecycle.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills across Linux/Unix, Windows, networking, and databases.
- Scripting and automation using Python, Perl, Bash/Shell, or PowerShell.
- Monitoring tools: Splunk, Grafana, Prometheus, ELK, Dynatrace, or similar.
- Messaging platforms: Kafka, IBM MQ, Tibco EMS, or ActiveMQ.
- CI/CD and DevOps tools: Jenkins, Git, Bitbucket, Terraform, Ansible, and ArgoCD.
- Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and production incident management.
What We're Looking For:
A strong production support/SRE professional with hands-on experience supporting front-office trading applications, troubleshooting FIX connectivity, managing production incidents, and ensuring high availability of critical trading systems.
