Odoo Developer

Roles and Responsibilities

• Analyze client requirements and propose efficient, scalable Odoo-based solutions.

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain Odoo modules and applications.

• Develop new Odoo modules and enhance existing functionalities.

• Customize Odoo workflows, reports, views, and business processes.

• Integrate Odoo with third-party applications and external APIs.

• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented Python code.

• Optimize application performance and troubleshoot technical issues.

• Collaborate with functional consultants, QA engineers, and project managers throughout the

development lifecycle.

• Participate in code reviews and follow software development best practices.

• Perform unit testing, debugging, and ensure software quality before deployment.

• Stay updated with the latest Odoo releases and contribute to the Odoo community and open-source ecosystem whenever possible.

• Work in an Agile development environment and meet project deadlines.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Python programming.

• Good understanding of SQL and relational databases (preferably PostgreSQL).

• Hands-on experience with the Odoo Framework (module development, customization,

inheritance, ORM, security, reports, and workflows).

• Understanding of XML, QWeb, and Odoo views.

• Experience with REST APIs and third-party integrations.

• Knowledge of Git version control.

• Understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies.

• Knowledge of software testing and debugging techniques.

• Good communication skills in English.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Passion for software design, development, and continuous learning.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and OWL framework.

• Experience working with Linux/Ubuntu environments.

• Knowledge of Docker, CI/CD, and deployment processes.

• Experience with Odoo Enterprise features.

• Contributions to Open Source projects or the Odoo community.

• Knowledge of ERP business processes such as Sales, Purchase, Inventory, Accounting, Manufacturing, and HR.
