Associate Mechanical Engineer

Redwire (via our subsidiary LoadPath, LLC), is accelerating humanity's expansion into space through specializing in the development and delivery of aerospace structures, mechanisms, and thermal control solutions. The business unit performs design, analysis, testing, and fabrication to advanced technologies through the complete concept-to-flight development cycle.

*ResponsibilitiesThe *Associate Mechanical Engineer** will be responsible for the design and analysis of spacecraft mechanical systems and components. This includes working with engineers and technicians to ensure that all components are properly fabricated and tested to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of spacecraft components
• Conduct testing and analysis to ensure product performance and reliability
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring projects from concept to completion
• Provide technical support and guidance throughout the product development process
• Provide configuration management support

Ideal Experience

• 0 - 2 years of experience as a mechanical engineer
• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field
• Some limited travel may be required

Desired Skills

• Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles and practices
• Proficiency in CAD software and other engineering tools
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
