This role is hard. You will wear different hats, solve problems nobody can hand you the answer to, and build real companies from nothing, often all in the same week.
Most people would hate it, but if that sounds like fun, keep reading.

Who we are
Solved is a startup studio. We build real businesses, put them in front of real customers, and keep the ones that make money.

It is run by a founder with two exits behind him who started his first business at 22 with no experience, selling door to door, and grew it into a global agency.

He now builds with AI every day. Some of our products already make money, but there are far more ideas than hands to build them. That is the gap you fill.

Currently live or in build: a UK tax savings product, a geospatial site-selection platform, an AI-to-human task marketplace, and a founder-led content brand. We're growing these and testing new bets.

The role
You will be the first builder in the studio, working directly with the founder. You will build the products, then help take them to market. No supporting role, no side projects: your work is the work.
AI everywhere it helps. Human taste everywhere it matters.

What you will actually do

• Build. Ship apps, landing pages and internal tools using Claude Code, Codex and whatever else gets it done. Idea to live URL in days, not months. New features, UI, payments, auth, databases, deploys: you figure it out.
• Automate. Kill repetitive work. Agents, workflows, scripts, integrations. If you do something twice, the third time is automated.
• Grow. Find new ways to reach the market online and scale what works, whether that is email, affiliates or channels we have not tried yet. You'll help leverage content to build the machine behind the founder's personal brand and scale ads. Find what is going viral, work out exactly why it works, and recreate winning formats in our own voice.

Above all, get stuff out the door.

You are probably right for this if

• You have built something nobody asked you to build.
• You already use Claude, Codex or similar every day.
• You have shipped real things. Not courses. Things.
• You understand content. You know the formats, the hooks, the memes, and can explain why a video hit.
• You understand people: what makes them stop scrolling, share, sign up and pay.
• You would rather be handed a problem than a task list.
• You are comfortable doing things for the first time, being wrong and fixing it.
• You have high standards and hold others to them

Also we welcome outliers. Top 1% on a game leaderboard, county-level at a sport, a side hustle that actually made money, 15k followers on a niche account. We don't care what it is. We care that you went further than most people bother to.

You are definitely wrong for this if

• You need detailed instructions before you start.
• You're not already using codex or claude code daily
• You think content is beneath engineers, or engineering is beneath content people.
• "That's not my job" has ever come out of your mouth.
• You want it perfect before it ships.

How we work

• High expectations, high autonomy.
• Short loops. Small team, fast decisions, direct feedback in both directions.
• Remote fine, in person preferred. In person in Oxford, roughly a couple of days a week to start.
• Flexible commitment. Anywhere from 2 to 5 days a week.

The deal

• £26,000 to £36,000 full-time equivalent, pro rata for fewer days.
• Performance bonus tied to what ships and what earns.
• Potential equity in ventures you help build, depending on contribution and performance.
• Your name on real products with real users and real revenue.
• Independence. You own your work end to end. Nobody hovers.
• Autonomy. You choose how. We judge results, not process.
• Learning. Compress a decade of learning into months.

What you won't get.
