Senior Full Stack Engineer (Remote, Europe, Contract)

About Atelix

Atelix is the AI operating system for interior designers and architects. Studios use it to run their projects: specifications, procurement, suppliers, client approvals, invoicing and project financials, with an AI assistant that keeps track of what needs attention.

We have a live product, paying studios and more starting trials, and we’re backed by experienced tech investors. We’re a small team, so you’ll work directly with the founder (ex-Salesforce senior leader) and our lead developer.

What you’ll do

Own features from design to production across our TypeScript, Node.js, React and PostgreSQL stack on Google Cloud.
Build integrations studios rely on: Xero, Outlook and Gmail, Stripe.
Build AI features that do real work, with the designer always in control: reading supplier emails, drafting messages, answering questions about projects.
Talk to designers directly, understand how their studios run, and turn that into product.
Use AI coding tools every day to ship fast without lowering quality.

What we’re looking for

5+ years of professional software development, including building and running production SaaS.
Strong Node.js and PostgreSQL. You’re comfortable designing data models and APIs, not just front-end work.
Solid React and TypeScript.
You’ve built something end to end with minimal supervision, ideally a product from zero or as the main engineer.
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people.
Based in Europe and working UK or CET hours.
Full-time, long-term role, on a contractor basis (you invoice Atelix monthly). Remote from Europe, UK or CET hours.

Nice to have

Experience with accounting or invoicing software, Xero, Stripe, or email integrations.
Experience with LLM APIs in production.
An interest in design, architecture or interiors.
