SAP RAP BTP Developer

We are seeking an experienced SAP RAP BTP Developer with strong security implementation expertise to design, develop, and secure enterprise applications using SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP), ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP), and SAP S/4HANA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience building RAP-based applications, implementing authentication and authorization controls, and ensuring secure access to SAP services, APIs, and business data.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain SAP applications using ABAP RAP, SAP BTP, CDS Views, and OData services.
• Build and extend SAP Fiori applications using Fiori Elements and SAPUI5.
• Implement security controls for SAP BTP applications, including authentication, authorization, role-based access control, and secure API access.
• Configure and manage SAP BTP security services, including XSUAA, SAP Cloud Identity Services, OAuth 2.0, and role collections, as applicable to the solution architecture.
• Implement authorization checks within RAP business objects and CDS views, including access controls and data-level security.
• Secure OData V2/V4 services and integrations between SAP BTP, SAP S/4HANA, and external applications.
• Work with SAP BTP destinations, communication arrangements, and connectivity services to establish secure system integrations.
• Apply secure development practices, identify vulnerabilities, and support security assessments and remediation.
• Troubleshoot application, authorization, connectivity, and authentication issues across SAP environments.
• Collaborate with functional consultants, architects, security teams, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable and compliant solutions..

Required Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development, including hands-on SAP RAP development.
• Strong experience with SAP BTP and SAP S/4HANA application development.
• Proficiency in CDS Views, behavior definitions and implementations, service definitions, service bindings, and OData services.
• Experience developing RAP applications using managed and/or unmanaged scenarios.
• Hands-on experience implementing SAP application security, including authentication, authorization, and role-based access controls.
• Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, XSUAA, and SAP Cloud Identity Services.
• Experience implementing CDS access controls (DCL) and RAP authorization logic.
• Understanding of secure API integration, identity propagation, and communication between SAP systems.
• Experience with SAP Fiori Elements and/or SAPUI5.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
