About the job

*Overview**Site Reliability Engineer (Predictions)*

*Overview*We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) to support our Predictions trading desk. In this role, you will work at the intersection of software engineering and production operations, ensuring our services run reliably, efficiently, and safely at scale.

You will collaborate with developers, quants, and traders to build and maintain the tooling, automation, and observability required for a modern cloud-native environment. This is a hands on engineering role where you will contribute to production systems, improve resiliency, and help drive best practices for operability in cloud-native, Kubernetes based environments (including AWS / EKS).

*In This Role You Will:*

  • Design, build, and maintain tooling and automation to monitor the health, performance, and correctness of production services.
  • Write production-grade software and scripts to support reliability, deployment workflows, and operational visibility.
  • Own and improve observability across metrics, logs, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
  • Operate and support core data and messaging infrastructure, including Kafka, PostgreSQL, and Redis.
  • Develop and maintain GitOps based workflows, CI/CD, containerization, and deployment pipelines.
  • Own production readiness for new system changes, ensuring safe rollout and high availability.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues across distributed systems, Linux, Kubernetes, networking, and application layers.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of incident response, monitoring, alerting, and post-mortem practices.
  • Serve as a member of an on-call schedule to handle production issues, drive incident resolution, and contribute to post-incident improvements.

*What We're Looking For**What We're Looking For*

*Required:*

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of professional experience in technology (software engineering, site reliability engineering, or a similar hands-on technical role).
  • 5+ years supporting production systems in a containerized environment (Kubernetes strongly preferred; AKS and/or EKS experience a plus).
  • Experience with AWS (EKS, IAM, networking, managed data services) and/or multi-cluster Kubernetes operations.
  • Strong software engineering and scripting skills, especially in Python, Go and/or bash.
  • Hands-on experience with core production technologies such as Kafka, Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, PostgreSQL, Redis, Git, and GitOps/CD tooling (e.g. ArgoCD).
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in a highly distributed environment.
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort working closely with developers, quants and traders.

*Nice To Have:*

  • Prior experience in trading, fintech, sports betting, or other real-time / high-availability platforms.
  • Familiarity with prediction markets or event-driven systems.
  • Strong quantitative reasoning skills.
