Software Engineer (Remote)

FSGen | Fully remote within Europe | 3+ years of experience

Salary: €70,000–€100,000 gross per year

FSGen is looking for a Software Developer with 3+ years of professional experience and strong skills in React or .NET. Experience with both is welcome, but a solid background in either is enough to apply.

You’ll help build and improve web applications, contribute ideas, and take features from requirements through to delivery. We use Claude Code as part of our development workflow and welcome developers who are curious about using AI tools thoughtfully.

FSGen is a Portugal-based software company helping entrepreneurs, startups, and engineering teams turn clear requirements into production-ready business applications. We build customer portals, internal tools, booking systems, and other web applications using React, Next.js, .NET, SQL Server or PostgreSQL, and AWS.

Our approach combines AI-assisted development with a standardised architecture, professional code review, and automated testing. We deliver clearly scoped projects at a fixed price within two weeks, giving clients full ownership of the source code.

At FSGen, you’ll focus on business logic, application quality, and solving real user problems, supported by automation that handles repetitive development work.

What you’ll do

Build and improve frontend features with React or backend services with C# and .NET, depending on your strengths.
Work with APIs and databases to deliver reliable application features.
Make architecture and software design decisions within FSGen’s established architecture, including how to structure components, APIs, and business logic.
Discuss technical trade-offs with the team and contribute to code reviews.
Troubleshoot issues and improve application performance and maintainability.
Use Claude Code for development, debugging, refactoring, and testing, while reviewing and validating the resulting code.
Communicate progress, decisions, and blockers clearly within a remote team.

What we’re looking for

3+ years of professional software development experience.
Hands-on experience with React and JavaScript/TypeScript, or C# and .NET.
Familiarity with APIs, Git, and collaborative development.
The ability to work independently, ask good questions, and take ownership of your work.
Willingness to learn and contribute across the stack over time.
Good written and spoken English.
Based in Europe.

Nice to Have

Experience with both React and .NET.
Knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server or PostgreSQL, including SQL queries and relational database concepts.
Previous experience with Claude Code or similar AI coding tools.
