About the job
About Aureum
Aureum AI is an early-stage software company building a CRM for real estate professionals, with a focus on trust, timing, and consistent follow-through.
We are currently in controlled early access, testing and refining the platform through feedback. Our team values clear communication, attention to detail, and thoughtful questions.
About the Internship
(Hiring 1-3 Interns)
This is a remote, unpaid educational internship focused on manual software quality assurance and product testing.
You will learn how to test web applications, investigate unexpected behavior, and document findings so a product team can understand and reproduce them. Each testing cycle includes a defined learning objective, written instructions, access to a supervisor, and feedback on your work.
This is a testing role. No coding experience or previous QA experience is required.
Schedule and Duration
• Start and end dates are agreed individually and documented before the internship begins.
• Testing cycles generally take place every other week, with the scope and timing confirmed in advance.
• Expect approximately 2–5 hours during an assigned testing week.
• Participation is capped at 5 hours per assigned week and 30 hours across the agreed internship term.
• These limits include orientation, meetings, testing, report writing, feedback, and retesting.
• There is no on-call requirement. No report is required during an unassigned week, and cycles may be rescheduled around academic or personal commitments.
What You Will Do
• Test assigned features and user workflows using provided checklists.
• Practice functional, exploratory, regression, and assigned browser or responsive-web testing.
• Identify bugs, confusing interactions, unclear wording, and inconsistent behavior.
• Document the steps taken, expected outcome, and actual result.
• Capture approved screenshots or recordings using fictional test data.
• Submit one organized QA report for each assigned testing cycle.
• Review feedback with your supervisor and retest assigned issues after updates.
What We’re Looking For
• Strong attention to detail and curiosity about how software works.
• Clear written communication.
• Organization and follow-through on agreed assignments.
• Comfort using web applications, taking screenshots, and recording observations.
• Willingness to ask questions and distinguish observed results from assumptions.
• Ability to participate remotely and communicate when something is blocked.
Students and early-career applicants interested in software testing, product development, or user experience are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
What You Will Learn
You will practice writing reproducible bug reports, assessing issue severity, checking whether a fix works, and separating software defects from usability concerns. You will also gain experience working with test cases, documenting evidence, and communicating findings to a product team.
Testing Environment
All testing uses approved fictional data in assigned, controlled, non-delivering environments. This placement does not include source-code access, production-system access, live customer communications, or responsibility for release decisions.
Additional Details
This internship is unpaid and does not guarantee future employment, compensation, or academic credit. Required internship, confidentiality, and intellectual-property agreements must be completed before access to internal materials or testing systems is granted.
How to Apply
Apply through Wellfound with your resume and a short note explaining your interest in QA or product testing. Include your availability and preferred start date. Prior professional experience is not required.
