About the job

TireTutor builds the software independent tire and auto service shops run on: point of sale and work orders, payments, dealer websites, tire ordering from the shop's own suppliers, an AI phone agent, and Tutor, an AI assistant that answers a shop's questions about its own numbers.

We're hiring a Technical Sales Engineer to own the technical side of our deals and integrations, so our sales and customer success teams can focus on the customer relationship.

What you'll do

Technical bridge between sales and product to accelerate onboarding process for larger customers and distributors.

You'll own:

• Technical discovery for enterprise, multi-location and API deals

• Technical questions from sales.

• Integration requirements and bugs, written up clearly and raised to Product and engineering

You'll work closely with sales on complex deals, with customer success and support (who route accounting, integration and API questions to you), with our implementation team on multi-location and API rollouts, and with engineering. You'll report to Product.

What you bring

• Customer-facing technical role: sales engineering, solutions engineering, technical implementation or integration support.

• Curiosity and a growth mindset to dive into the ambiguity and find a solution for the customer or bring to the team to prioritize.

• Comfort reading API documentation, testing an integration, and explaining what broke in plain language.

• Clear writing: you can turn a messy customer problem into a ticket an engineer can act on, and a fix into a runbook someone else can follow.

• You follow through: when a deal or a setup is yours, you see it to done.

Nice to have: point of sale, payments (Square) or automotive aftermarket experience.

• Hands-on experience with accounting integrations, ideally QuickBooks Online and a sync tool such as Synder

Details

• Location: Boston, MA. In the office 4 days a week.

• Compensation: $65,000–$70,000 base salary plus $15,000–$20,000 variable, for $85,000 on-target earnings

• Stock options

• Unlimited paid time off, paid company holidays, and a meeting-free last week of December

• Monthly health reimbursement toward your individual health insurance (QSEHRA)

• Parental leave topped up to full salary

• Commuting reimbursement
