About the job

Lynntech is seeking a creative and motivated electronics engineering intern to participate in developing world-class technologies and products in defense, aerospace, and medical markets. They will support all stages of our mission to solve real problems from researching and brainstorming the very first concepts, all the way through advanced engineering, testing, and troubleshooting. To accomplish this mission, we need team members who are passionate about learning and growing, and who want to be involved first-hand in creating the latest in technology solutions.

Job Description

Lynntech's interns work hands-on, developing first-of-their-kind prototypes and test platforms for innovative technologies. Our interns are commonly engaged in the following activities:

  • Participate in concept generation and problem solving during brainstorming sessions with talented and experienced engineers, scientists, researchers, and skilled technicians.
  • Develop and document PCB and wire harness designs using eCAD software such as Altium Designer.
  • Develop embedded microcontroller, FPGA, ARM, and PC style firmware and software.
  • Populate PCBs with surface mount and through hole components along with assisting in testing and troubleshooting of electronic and electrical systems.
  • Assemble prototypes and test stands to support emerging technologies utilizing state-of-the-art hardware components and systems.
  • Test and troubleshoot these prototypes and processes and monitor outcomes with a critical eye for improvement.
  • Contribute valued feedback regarding the design and performance of prototypes and manufacturing systems.

You will be exposed to a myriad of fields, disciplines, and applications, but our interns are not expected to just watch from the sidelines. We are looking for team members who are eager to learn skills and technologies and actively contribute to the design, building, and implementation of hardware and software prototypes.
